Grow Outdoors South Carolina is a multi-agency initiative guided by the South Carolina Department of Social Services – Division of Early Care and Education and the South Carolina Department of Public Health – Nutrition, Physical Activity, and Obesity Prevention Section.
A skilled Implementation Team—made up of the Early Childhood Health Outdoors (ECHO) initiative from the National Wildlife Federation and the Natural Learning Initiative (NLI) at NC State’s College of Design—brings expertise in outdoor design, communications, program evaluation, and resource development.
An engaged Advisory Group, composed of early care and education leaders, ensures the initiative’s alignment with field needs and connects the initiative to child care providers across the state.
